INASL- Prof JB Dilawari -The Best Paper Award for Community or Preventive Hepatology’ for the year- 2026

Dear INASL Member

We request you to submit your applications for the – ‘INASL- Prof JB Dilawari -The Best Paper Award for Community or Preventive Hepatology’ for the year 2026.

The award is for the published work done in India in the community setting or in the area of preventive hepatology. Award would include a Certificate of Appreciation from INASL and a prize money of Rs 25000/- (Rupees Twenty-five thousand only).

 Eligibility and Selection criteria –

1. Applicant has to be an INASL member
2. The paper should have been published in the last three years of the year of the award. For the award in 2026, the paper should have been published between January 2023 and April, 2026.
3. The work in the paper should pertain to the Hepatology work done in the community setting of India or in the area of preventive hepatology.
4. Application should mention the number of citations of the paper in the last three years.
5. Application should mention the most recent impact factor of the journal in which the paper is published.
6. A panel of judges will assess all the applications and the award would be announced during the annual conference of INASL.
7. The judges may decide to not award anyone if none of the candidates/Papers is found suitable.
8. The decision of the judges would be final and binding.
9. Members who have received the award in last three years are not eligible to apply.

Last date of submission of application for the year 2026 is 15^th July, 2026.

The results of the year 2026 award will be announced during the World Congress of Gastroenterology at New Delhi in September/October, 2026.
